Fairway & Folly

Fairway & Folly started the way most good things in golf start, somewhere between a bad shot and a good walk.

A round near home in north Texas. Wind doing what wind does. A drive that found a row of live oaks the way drives sometimes do, and a four-letter word that turned, somewhere mid-swing, into a laugh instead. There was nothing to be done about the ball. The afternoon was beautiful. The company was good. The score was already a lost cause, and somehow none of that seemed to matter.

We started this brand on the suspicion that the score is rarely the best part of a round, and that more golfers feel that way than the apparel aisle would suggest. Most golf clothing is built for the player you wish you were: the one who hits every fairway, who needs four-way stretch and moisture-wicking and a stat-tracking polo to keep up with their game. We love that golfer. We are mostly not that golfer. We are the ones who play for the walk and the wind and the live oaks, who remember the par save on seventeen more than the score on the card, and who tell the story about the lost ball longer than the story about the birdie.

So we make shirts for that. Soft, well-made apparel for golfers who love this game in all its honesty. From the pure shots, the terrible bounces, the long shadows, to the better stories. Built to wear before the round, after the round, and on whatever Saturday morning isn't quite a round but still feels like one. Designed to spread a little joy at a sport that mostly hands out lessons in humility.

We're based in Prosper, Texas, with shirts printed here in the US and partners around the world for everyone playing farther afield. We're small, we're independent, and we're building this slowly — because the kind of brand we want to make is the kind that gets better the longer you wear it.
